“Deposit & Disclosure Statement”

Except under certain circumstances or to approved breeders, all of the puppies will be sold with limited AKC registration papers. In all cases, the toy puppies will be sold under a "spay/neuter" contract. No registration papers will be given on a toy puppy until such time as the new owner provides Barberella Kennels with a "spay/neuter" certificate from their vet.

A $100.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit (except as set out in the receipt) will hold your choice. Once the deposit is received by Barberalla Kennels, a completed receipt and warranty will be e-mailed to the adopting parent(s) setting out the purchase terms, which must be agreed to by the adopting parent(s) and such agreement e-mailed back to Barberella Kennels stating your acceptance. A blank copy of the receipt and warranty are set out below for your review.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the kennel, the parents, and the puppies. You can e-mail or call us with your questions and/or concerns. WE ASK THAT VISITS TO THE KENNEL BE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. In an effort to avoid acquiring parvo in the kennel, we ask that you do not visit our kennel after having handled puppies at a pet store, at another kennel where you feel there may be sick animals, or at a vet’s office which may have recently treated parvo, until you speak with your veterinarian on the steps to avoid in transmitting any illness to our kennel.

Your puppy must be picked up at Barberella Kennels on a mutually-agreed upon date and time after the puppy has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian, Harry L. Cunningham; and been fully weaned, wormed, and given a 7-week distemper/parvo vaccination. Some very tiny toys may have to stay in the nursery up to 10 weeks of age. Special arrangements can be made if the puppy is held by Barberella Kennels past the departure date at the request of the adopting parent(s). Barberella Kennels is concerned for the health and well-being of our puppies; therefore, no puppies will be shipped.

ALL PUPPIES MUST BE CHECKED BY THE ADOPTING PARENT(S)’ VETERINARIAN WITHIN THREE (3) DAYS OF LEAVING BARBERELLA KENNELS, OR THE WARRANTY WILL BE NULL AND VOID. Refer to the Well-Being and Health Contract for precautions to be taken when taking your puppy for its vet well-check.
